AgriPhage™-CMM Bactericide

AgriPhage-CMM is a bacteriophage product used for biological control of bacterial canker disease on tomatoes. Bacteriophages are known in layman’s terms as “bacteria eaters.” They are highly desirable solutions for bacterial diseases, because of their environmentally friendly profiles and because of the resistance bacterial diseases have developed to traditional disease control products.

A bacteriophage mixture, AgriPhage-CMM is highly specific and only kills a specific species of bacteria: Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis. AgriPhage-CMM is of low risk to other “good” bacteria, beneficial micro flora or fauna. It is a viable alternative to synthetically produced chemicals that can leave behind unfavorable residues

AgriPhage-CMM is exempt from Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs), has only a 4-hour re-entry interval (REI) for farm workers and is NOP approved for use in organic agriculture.

Application

Apply AgriPhage-CMM as a preventive to protect growing leaf tissue, as a curative when the first disease symptoms are visible or when conditions are conducive to heavy disease pressure. Apply AgriPhage-CMM in the field with conventional ground or aerial spray equipment immediately after planting and as the plant matures.

The NOP mission is to develop and implement national standards that govern the marketing of agricultural products as organically produced, to facilitate commerce in fresh and processed food that is organically produced, and to assure consumers that such products meet consistent standards.
