Notes:
Neemix 4.5 is an insect growth regulator. It controls targeted insect larvae by interfering with the insects’ ability to molt. It is effective on all larval and pupae stages. It also reduces damage by repelling and deterring feeding of all stages of insects.
This product is approved for organic production by the National Organic Program (NOP), a marketing program housed within the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service, the agency that sets marketing standards. The NOP mission is to develop and implement national standards that govern the marketing of agricultural products as organically produced, to facilitate commerce in fresh and processed food that is organically produced, and to assure consumers that such products meet consistent standards.
This product is OMRI Listed, therefore it is determined by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) to be suitable for use in certified organic production.
Washington state organic growers have several sources for determining what materials are allowed in organic production: the National List (NOP), the OMRI Products List and the WSDA Brand Name Materials Lists (BNML).
The WSDA Brand Name Materials List is a list of brand name products that have been evaluated by the Washington State Department of Agriculture to determine that they comply with organic standards. Products listed on the BNML are for use in organic production.
Neemix® is a botanical insect growth regulator (IGR) that controls a wide range of insect species.
Neemix is a proven IGR that kills insect larvae or nymphs before they become reproducing adults. Neemix is deadly to sucking and chewing insect pests, yet has minimal impact on non-target beneficial species. Neemix kills larval stages and nymphs by interfering with the insect molting hormone (ecdysone).
Whiteflies and other insects that feed on the undersides of leaves can be difficult to control with sprays directed only over the top of the plant. Neemix penetrates the plant by translaminar movement to provide control of these hard-to-reach pests. Repeated applications of Neemix build a “barrier” within the plant to prevent establishment of large pest populations.
IPM combines various tools and methods, including biorational products like Neemix, natural enemies, and cultural methods, such as sanitation, crop rotation, and resistant crop varieties. Neemix is an excellent management tool for use in IPM programs. With its unique mode of action, Neemix can be applied in combination or rotation with currently available products, such as synthetic pyrethroid and organophosphate (OPs) insecticides, to control target insects in an Insect Resistance Management (IRM) program. Neemix has a 0-day pre-harvest interval (PHI) and a 12-hour re-entry interval (REI).
Application should be made when pests first appear and are in their early larval or nymph stages.
Repeat application every seven days or as needed.
Repeated applications will break the life cycle of the pest.
Target 30 ppm spray solution by using 4 to 10 oz. per 100 gallons of carrier.
Spray to coverage.
Refer to the Azadirachtin Concentration (ppm) Table to properly match application rate and spray volume to ensure an effective concentration of 30 ppm azadirachtin in the finished spray.
Spray solutions containing Neemix should be maintained at a pH between 4 to 7 and applied soon after mixing.
Do not store for later use.
