Regional Sales Representative - Central Mountain Region

Certis USA is a leading manufacturer and marketer of biological and botanical products for pest management. Headquartered in Columbia Maryland, Certis has strategic positions across the US servicing the specialty AG markets. Our growing portfolio is necessitating the addition of a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional to serve as its Regional Sales Manager for the Central Mountain Region. Certis USA Mountain region includes the states, and or regions of WA, MN, MT, ND, SD, WY and ID. Core market focus for this region will include potatoes, onions, sugar beets, sweet and seed corn, canola, some tree fruit and other crops as specified.


This position is accountable to develop a customer base within a geographical area crop protection industry. In addition this position is accountable for obtaining business results as established through business planning and goal setting.

  • Within the crop protection industry and current Distribution channels the Sales Manager will devise sales plans and strategies and is accountable for managing a defined client base to meet and exceed territory sales budget and operating targets.
  • Inspire to become involved in the business decision-making process of Certis customers and aid them with Bio based solutions in maximizing profitability for their individual crops.
  • Maintain and analyze a database/record of customer profiles (i.e. use of EDI tracking, commodities consulted, main pests and product requirements) in order to prioritize customer contacts.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential future customers, based upon an approach of targeting customers with whom the company can profitably do business.
  • Provide timely service, sales options, agronomic information and advice to current and potential customers.
  • Provide technical support and product training for key retailers, distributor sales representatives and consultants.
  • Track and report on competitor activities within the market area, and provide input on marketing program changes to the team/manager.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Education Requirements:

4 year degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or other Ag related major

Experience Required:

Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agri-business and/or other related customer service function. Equivalent combinations of education and experience, which result in the required level of knowledge, competencies, skills and abilities, may be considered.
