Scott Ockey New Western U.S. Field Development Manager for Certis USA

Scott Ockey has joined the biopesticide company, Certis USA, as its Western U.S. Field Development Manager. Ockey will oversee field trial programs, provide technical support to the sales team and represent Certis USA to universities in California, Arizona and the Pacific Northwest.

Prior to coming to Certis USA, Ockey served as technical development representative for Chemtura Corp. covering the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia territories. Ockey holds an M.S. degree in Plant Pathology from Utah State University, where he also worked as a diagnostician and curator in the university’s Plant Diagnostic Laboratory. Ocke’s skill set includes extensive experience in field trials with fungicides and bactericides, plant disease identification and epidemiology, culture techniques for plant pathogens, and identification of insect and mite pests.

Ockey will report to Mike Dimock, Director of Field Development and Technical Services for Certis USA. Dimock said, “Scott is excited about applying his well-honed field development skills and network to a new set of products and an expanded market focus. His background in plant pathology brings a fresh dimension to our current technical knowledge base.”

Ockey works from his office in Yakima, WA.
