Olympic Markets Certis Products to Greenhouse/Nursery SoilGard, Triact and Azatin

Certis USA has again chosen Olympic Horticultural Products and its national distributor network to sell and market a selection of its natural-based products to the nursery and greenhouse markets, including Azatin® botanical insect growth regulator (IGR), Triact® botanical fungicide and miticide and SoilGard® microbial fungicide.

Tim Damico, director of sales and marketing for Certis, said: "Olympic provides the expertise to better service the nursery and greenhouse markets. We believe that is critical, especially now as an increasing number of these customers are turning to reduced-risk pesticides. We are also pleased to have Olympic market SoilGard, which has become one of our most requested fungicides."

SoilGard contains the beneficial fungus Gliocladium virens, a microorganism proven to provide long residual, broad spectrum control of major soil borne pathogens, including Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Fusarium, Theilaviopsis, Sclerotinia and Sclerotium. Formulated as a granular inoculant, SoilGard is incorporated into soil or soilless media. As the fungus grows, it produces antibiotics and enzymes that kill plant pathogens.

SoilGard, as well as Triact and Azatin, are highly effective microbial or botanical products that pose minimal risk to workers, beneficial insects and the environment. The products are ideally suited for use in closed environments, urban settings or high traffic areas.

For more information about SoilGard, Triact or Azatin, contact an Olympic distributor or Olympic Horticultural Products, headquartered in Bradenton, FL, by calling 1-800-659-6745.

Certis USA, headquartered in Columbia, MD, is a leading biopesticide company selling microbial pesticides (Bts, fungi and baculoviruses), insecticidal nematodes, botanical pesticides, pheromones and attractants to the agricultural and professional pest control industries worldwide.
